Cool Tool Privacy Policy

This privacy policy governs your use of the software application Cool Tool for mobile devices that was created by Deviant Studio. The Application allows user to monitor a various system info in "always on top" floating window (overlay mode).


User Provided Information

When you use the Application, you generally provide information you enter into our system when using the Application, such as application settings. This information is used for backup app settings in the Firebase cloud.

Automatically Collected Information

In addition, the Application may collect certain information automatically, including, but not limited to, the type of mobile device you use, your mobile devices unique device ID and information about the way you use the Application. This information collected by Firebase Analytics service. You can read more here.

Does the Application collect precise real time location information of the device? 

This Application does not collect precise information about the location of your mobile device. 

Automatic Data Collection and Advertising

We are using Firebase AdMob advertising platform to monetize the Application. Detailed AdMob policies are hosted here.

Security

We are concerned about safeguarding the confidentiality of your information. We provide physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards to protect information we process and maintain. Access to the Firebase cloud have only one person (app creator).

Permissions  explanation

The Application has some requirements on accepting Android system permissions. Here is full list of permissions with detailed explanation:

RECEIVE_BOOT_COMPLETED - Run on Startup feature
SYSTEM_ALERT_WINDOW - This is essential app permission required for showing floating windows.
INTERNET & ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE - AdMob ad network and Backup to Cloud app feature
ACCESS_WIFI_STATE - WiFi Signal strength app feature
VIBRATE - in-app haptic feedback
KILL_BACKGROUND_PROCESSES & RESTART_PACKAGES - Task Killer app feature
CHANGE_NETWORK_STATE - GSM Signal strength app feature
ACCESS_FINE_LOCATION - GPS satellites statistics (app feature)
WRITE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE - Backup to sdcard app feature
MODIFY_AUDIO_SETTINGS & RECORD_AUDIO - equalizer & VU meter app features (available only on pre-Lollipop devices). This feature is mostly deprecated and the permission may be removed in near future. We do not do any voice recordings, do not store and do not send any audio data.
READ_PHONE_STATE - used for fetching unique device ID; also some phone models (mostly by Samsung manufactured) required this permission for cell signal reading. 

The Application may ask (but not require) root privileges. This step is required only for "top process" app feature on modern Android OS versions (7.0+).

Changes

This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time for any reason. We will notify you of any changes to our Privacy Policy by posting the new Privacy Policy here. You are advised to consult this Privacy Policy regularly for any changes, as continued use is deemed approval of all changes.
